Swimming Coach | 6th November 2017
Kavitraa Paramaguru is from Malaysia and has been a “ water baby “ from an early age, even before she started taking swimming lessons. She began swimming lessons at the age of 6 and from then onwards developed a keen interest in competitive swimming. She started teaching swimming at the age of 15 while still in high school back home in Malaysia at her local swim club sharing her experience, skills, and techniques with the younger swimmers in the hope of inspiring them to take up competitive swimming. She continued training competitively until the age of 17 and thereafter focused on her coaching career. She has experience teaching group and private lessons of various levels from kids to adults. In 2013, she acquired her AUSTSWIM Swim Teacher License. In furtherance to her swimming, Kavitraa also took up scuba diving and obtained her Open Water and Advanced Open Water License and also took part in mermaid entertainment. Whilst pursuing her degree in Graphic Design in London, with her AUSTSWIM license, she continued teaching and coaching at 3 different clubs in the UK. Kavitraa is excited to embark a new journey with Sport for Life and hope to continue sharing and imparting her experience and skills to fellow swimmers.
